AUBURN – Construction projects in areas of the city could cause headaches for motorists next week as sections of roads are shut down and detours put into place.

Starting Monday, a long section of Moose Brook Road will be closed for at least a week while crews put a 6-foot cement culvert into place.

The road, formerly known as Turkey Lane, will be closed between Washington Street and Old Danville Road. Auburn Highway Department Supervisor Richard Keene said traffic will be detoured along Station Road.

Also, crews will be digging holes on Goff Street in an effort to straighten water pipes beneath the road. Westbound traffic over Goff Hill will be diverted onto Haskell Street.
