1937 – 2003

LEWISTON – Patricia Ann Dillon, 65, of Oxford, died Sunday, Aug. 24, at Central Maine Medical Center.

Born in Lewiston, Sept. 4, 1937, the daughter of Elmer and Mary McDonald Ellsworth, she graduated from Oxford High School and made nursing her career.

She was a licensed practical nurse at Pikes Nursing Home for 15 years, until it closed. She was then employed at Norway Convalescent Center for 25 years. After retirement she worked part time at Market Square Health Care Center for two years, before failing health caused her to retire completely.

She made many special friends, everyone commented about her caring, compassionate way with her patients. She will be fondly remembered for her smiling face and all of her “foolish” bets by all of her special friends at the OTB at Sparetime in Lewiston. She loved horse racing.

Survivors include her husband and best friend of 32 years, Joseph F. Dillon of Oxford; three children, Lawrence Pulsifer of Norway, Benji Ames of Poland and Sherri Stretton and her husband, Lawrence of Waterford; five grandchildren, Rebecca Ames, Justin Grover, Christie Ames, Kimberly Grover and Jessica Kennagh; three great-grandchildren; and her special cat, Rascal.
