Megan Batchelder was treated at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

PARIS – A Woodstock girl suffered a minor leg injury when she was struck by a car on Gary Street early Wednesday night.

Megan Batchelder, 11, of Main Street was crossing the street about 6:30 p.m. when she was hit by a station wagon driven by Eleanor Everett, 30, of 316 Ryerson Hill of Paris, Patrolman Matt Dailey said. Riding with Everett, who was traveling toward Alpine Street, were her three children, ages 1, 3 and 5, and her mother, all of Ryerson Hill Road, the Paris officer said. None of them were hurt. Batchelder was taken by PACE Ambulance to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway for treatment, Dailey said.

Everett was issued a summons for driving with a suspended registration on her 1988 Mercury wagon, which had minor damage to the right front bumper. She is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court in Paris on Oct. 6.

Cpl. Mike Dailey is doing the accident reconstruction report. Assisting Matt Dailey were Police Chief David Verrier and members of the Paris Fire Department.
