1908 – 2003

AUBURN – Rose E. St. Cyr, 95, formerly of Rumford, passed away Sept. 5, at the Auburn Home For Aged Women.

She was born in St. Honore, Quebec, Canada, July 26, 1908, a daughter of Louis and Demierise (Leclare) Genest.

She worked for over 24 years at the Oxford Paper Co. in the finishing room.

Mrs. St. Cyr was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Rumford Senior Citizens Group and the Rumford Snow Shoe Club.

She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, visiting with her family and friends and the special time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Alfred St. Cyr of Vancouver, Wash., Lawrence St. Cyr of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Jeanette Gallant of Rumford; one sister, Ida Lacroix of Rumford; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-grandson.

Mrs. St. Cyr was predeceased by her husband, Alfred St. Cyr in 1944; four brothers, Joseph, Willie, Arthur, Eddie Genest; four sisters, Marie Vailleux, Alice Cote, Laura Grondin, Rozilda Gagnon.
