STANDISH – Andrew Budelman scored a pair of goals Wednesday to pace the University of Southern Maine to a 3-1 win over St. Joseph’s in men’s soccer action.
Zach Rossignol chipped with a goal for the Huskies. Joe Stevens put the Monks on the board with a breakaway goal at the 32 minute mark of the first half.
Husson 4, Lyndon State 2
BANGOR – David Richards scored four goals to lead Husson to a 4-2 victory over Lyndon State.
Richards scored three times in a 15 minute-span early in the second half.
James Friend and Matt Goodman combined to make six saves for Husson.
Field hockey
UNE 3, St. Joe’s 0
STANDISH – Ruth Ness stole the show with three goals as she led the University of New England to a 3-0 victory over St. Joseph’s College in collegiate field hockey action Wednesday.
Michelle Burke and Krystal Wysocki combined for eight saves while splitting time in net for the Nor’Easters (3-1).
Colby 3, Husson 0
BANGOR – Injoo Haa and Wendy Bonner paced Colby College with one goal and one assist each en route to a 3-0 victory over Husson.
Adrienne Leclair added a goal, while Michaelyn Bortoloth assisted.
Molly Rice and Jess Laniewski combined for eight saves on 12 shots for Colby, while Jamie Giles and Shani Hollins combined for seven shots on 22 shots for Husson.
Women’s Soccer
Maine Maritme 4, Unity 0
CASTINE – Jessie Taylor netted a pair of goals Wednesday to pace Maine Maritime to a 4-0 shutout win over Unity in collegiate women’s soccer.
Amy Asselin notched a goal and made three assists for the Mariners. Meghan Marshall turned away two shots while recording her second win of the season.
