AWAP plans training session

PARIS – Abused Women’s Advocacy Project will conduct volunteer training for five weeks on Fridays beginning Sept. 12 at the Chamber of Commerce Building. Grand Parade to be held Saturday

OXFORD – The 2003 Oxford County Fair Grand Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. Lineup will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the new harness racetrack. The entrance is at the racetrack gate. The time in the fair flyers, premium book, on the radio and in inserts states 11 a.m. The Fair Committee would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Progress Center to start coin club

Library card signup

NORWAY – Norway Memorial Library is holding its library card sign-up during September and October. September is official card sign-up month at the library. Children who receive new library cards during these months will have their pictures taken. The pictures will be featured in a display on the wall at the entrance to the children’s department. Bow hunter training

OTISFIELD – A bow hunter safety training program will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 16 and 18, and beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Lake Thompson Fish and Game Clubhouse on Paine Road. Students ages 10 to 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the full program. Maximum capacity is 40 students. Preregistration is required. Phone Perry Edwards at 743-6290 no later than one week prior to the program. This program is taught by authorized instructors who donate their time to the cause of greater outdoor safety, and sponsored by the Lake Thompson Fish and Game.
