1923 – 2003
FARMINGTON – Roy L. Tilton, 80, of Wilton, died Friday evening, Sept. 12, at the Sandy River Nursing Care Center in Farmington.
He was born June 10, 1923, in Wilton, a son of Roys and Pearl (Townsend) Tilton. He was educated in Wilton schools.
Lovingly known as “Uncle Roy” to his family and friends, he worked on his family farm on Walker Hill in Wilton his entire life. He enjoyed very much his work on the farm raising Milking Shorthorn dairy cows.
He was a member of the Milking Shorthorn Association and Agir-Mark.
He is survived by a brother Donald Tilton of Wilton; two sisters Barbara Morse of Jay and Hannah Stanley of Wilton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Welcome and infant Edward; three sisters Susie Trask, Edith Hill and Mable Lane.
