MECHANIC FALLS – The Planning Board approved a 12-month extension for completion of the second and third phases of a construction project for B & M Mini Storage Monday night.
Code Enforcement Officer John Hawley explained that the original development permit required that the final two phases be completed by the end of this month.
In other business, Adam Baroudi, who owns the building that contains the Village Pizzeria, was approved for a change of use for the property. Baroudi will now be permitted to convert an auto repair and sales business to a discount beverage warehouse, Hawley said.
In another matter, developer Mark Fournier of Auburn will be permitted to build a two-bay self-service car wash in Depot Square.
The board also granted approval to Building Management Company of Mechanic Falls to develop a seven-lot residential subdivision on Walker Road. Hawley said the board attached a condition that town water be piped to the subdivision.
