PARIS – Rehearsals for the fourth Christmas for Teens Extravaganza benefit concert will begin from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, and continue through Dec. 2.

Performers of all ages are invited to participate, and no audition is required. Rehearsals will be held at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School on Route 26.

The concert will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 in the high school auditorium.

Production coordinator Cynthia Wescott will be joined by Shirli Allen, Jonathan Smith, Virginia Noble, Susan Glines and numerous guest conductors and performers in creating this event. There will be many unusual sets and creative special effects involved.

Proceeds will go to Christmas for Teens, a program of Rightstart. The money provides gifts for full-time SAD 17 high school and middle school students between the ages of 13 and 18 who meet economic guidelines.

The concert is the largest single fund-raiser for the program.

More than 150 teens were served last Christmas.
