JAY – A 16-year-old boy was charged with burglary and criminal mischief in connection with a break-in at the Jay High School.
However, police are still investigating the theft of several hundred dollars from the boys’ locker room.
The Jay teen allegedly damaged lockers in the coaches’ locker room, stole money from a cash register in the cafeteria and attempted to gain entry into a concession stand in back of the school, Detective Russell Adams said.
This alleged incident occurred the weekend of Sept. 13 and 14.
Adams said police are still looking into an incident in early September where several hundred dollars was taken from boys’ clothing in a locker room.
