AUBURN – The deadline for registering for a household chemical collection and disposal is 2 p.m. Friday.
Chemicals such as paints, pesticides, hazardous cleaning products, pool supplies, gasoline and solvents are being collected from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Auburn Public Works garage, 296 Gracelawn Road.
Residents of Lewiston, Auburn, Durham, Greene, Hebron and Sabattus may register to participate by calling the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments at 783-9186 and ask for Susan or Carol. Registrations are also being accepted by e-mailing Carol at cfuller@avcog.org. The deadline for registration is 2 p.m. Friday.
The collection is sponsored by the AVCOG.
