HINCKLEY – The Good Will-Hinckley Homes for Boys and Girls announces the names of directors and officers elected to its board of directors. Directors are Larry Sterrs of Northport, newly appointed chairman, and Neil Colan, EdD, of Readfield, newly appointed vice chairman. In addition, Cheryl Gwadosky of Fairfield, Ambrose Wintle of Hollis Center and Ron Walden of Bangor have joined the board as officers.

Colan’s specialty is child psychology. He has been involved with the Outward Bound program since 1977. His practice is based at Winthrop Family Pediatrics. Colan has served on the board’s Youth Services Committee since 2000.

Walden, GWH class of 1953, was recently elected president of the National GWH Alumni Association. The appointee automatically gains a seat on the board of directors. Walden is a retired Methodist minister. He earned a master’s in divinity from Boston University and a BA in philosophy from Bates College in Lewiston.

Walden spent 32 years in active parish ministry; three years as chaplain and director of counseling at Kents Hill School in Readfield; and is past director of counseling of Upward Bound at UMO in Orono.
