NEW GLOUCESTER – Mainely Girls announces a one-and-a-half day workshop on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18, featuring a team of nationally known experts who work with eating disordered patients, at Pineland Farms.

“Basics and Beyond: Team Treatment of Eating Disorders” will provide clinical training to professionals from all the disciplines necessary to create treatment teams in Maine: physicians, nurses, clinical social workers, psychologists, nutritionists and dentists.

The workshop focuses on theoretical and clinical advances in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia and related eating disorders. The presenters will explore a multi-disciplinary team approach to treatment that incorporates a holistic appreciation of factors contributing to the development of these disorders.
