UNITY – The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association will host the fifth annual Low-Impact Forestry Workshop on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14 and 15, at the Common Ground Education Center.

The hands-on workshop is an opportunity to learn the latest in sustainable forestry management. It has something to offer everyone from the seasoned lumberjack to individuals who are just getting started in wood lot management.

Working in the woods with draft animals will be a major focus. The association encourages participants to bring draft animals if they wish.

Campers are welcome, as are horses and oxen. Call 568-4142 to register.

For more information on the workshop call Peter Hagerty at 625-4906. General information about the association is available at www.mofga.org.
