DIXFIELD – Neighborly Senior Citizens will observe their 34th anniversary on Wednesday, Oct. 15, with a meeting at the Dixfield American Legion Post.

The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a roast pork dinner with all the fixings prepared and served by Post No. 100 at a charge of $3 per person. Entertainment will be provided by Barry Wood.

Membership in the Neighborly Seniors is open to anyone age 50 and over with dues of $5 per year. New members are welcome. For more information, call Connie at 364-4189.

Celebrating potato

RUMFORD – The Acadian Society invites member to the annual Celebration of the Potato Night starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the St. Athanasius and St. John Parish Center. Bring a potluck dish to share.

RUMFORD – The women of the Stephens High School class of 1949 will meet for their regular monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Dick’s Restaurant in Mexico.
