1919 – 2003

FARMINGTON – Lillian C. Howard, 84, of Deer Crossing Apartments, Anson Street, Farmington, died early Monday morning, Oct. 13, at her home.

She was born Sept. 6, 1919, in Readfield, a daughter of Frank J. and Vivian (Chesley) Wyman. She received her education in local schools and on Sept. 12, 1937, married Ivan L. Howard in Farmington.

In addition to being a dedicated homemaker, Mrs. Howard was also employed in the cafeteria at the Farmington State Teachers’ College. She later worked for 20 years in the SAD 9 Cafeteria.

She was a member of the Pythian Sisters and Seniors Plus. She was a talented cook, enjoyed travelling around to yard sales and loved playing Bingo with her friends.

She is survived by three sons, Ivan Howard Jr. and his wife, Jean of Farmington, Dennis Howard and his wife, Linda of Belfast and Blaine Howard and his wife, Roberta of Farmington; one daughter, Shelba Jean Daggs-Fraser of Lady Lake, Fla.; two sisters, Barbara Turner of Farmington and Carolynn Wyman of Illiniois; three brothers, Leon Wyman of Farmington and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Ralph Wyman of Florida, and Clyde Wyman of New Mexico; a daughter-in-law, Rachel Howard of Farmington; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband on April 25, 1997; two sons, Larry Howard and Douglas Howard Sr.; two sisters, Erma Wyman and Helen Knight; three brothers, Frank, Raymond and George Wyman; and one grandson, Troy A. Howard.
