1951 – 2003

RUMFORD – Brenda Jean “Buffy” McCollough, 52, of 6 Rangeley Place, Rumford died Monday, Oct. 13, at her residence.

Born in Farmington June 23, 1951, a daughter of Guy R. and Shirley Camacho (Noble) Byron Jr., she graduated from Stephen’s High School in the Class of 1969.

A homemaker she was married to Austin (Blackie) McCollough who died in February of 1980. She worked at the Chicken Coop Restaurant and at The Balsam Glove Factory. She volunteered at the Chisholm Head Start Program.

She is survived by a son, Wayne McCollough and his wife Tonia of Rumford; two grandchildren, Angel and Wayne McCollough Jr. of Rumford; her dad, Guy R. Byron Jr. of NY; three sisters, Connie (Byron) Allaire and her husband Gerald of Waterboro, Bernadette Giasson of Peru, and Kelley Noble of Portland; a brother, Frankie Noble of Springvale; an uncle, John Byron.

She was predeceased by a sister Julie-Ann Byron
