1928 – 2003

GREENE – Lionel “Pete” A. Chasse, 75, born May 21, 1928, to Wilfred A. and Maria D. (Bilodeau) Chasse passed away at home on Oct. 17, with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

He married Geraldine Savage on Jan. 15, 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Roosevelt.

He worked in the family business ice house, egg farm, and dairy farm on Beech Hill Road in Auburn. He later worked for Hahnel Bros. until retirement.

He and his wife enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter. During the summer they enjoyed their home in Kokatosi campground where they had many loving friends around them. He enjoyed gardening in the summer and flea markets in the winter.

They enjoyed traveling to many different places around the country. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, snowmobiling, car racing, golf, and Sunday dinners with the family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine; four children, Sharon Demeritt and husband, Duane, Ronald Chasse and wife, Sandy, Diane Chasse and companion, Doug, Tammy Trafford and husband, Jeff; seven grandchildren, Scott, Jen, Michelle, Sabrina, Jessica, Sarah, and Brian; four great-grandchildren, Travis, Olivia, Gavin, Daniel; one brother, Norman Chasse and wife, Yvette, of Auburn; he will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Maria Chasse of Auburn.
