Great hockey

I would like to commend the folks from the Lewiston area that had anything to do with putting together the Maineiacs hockey team.

Attending my first game, but definitely not my last, I was impressed from the moment I drove into the parking lot. Once entering the building, I again was impressed as to how much improvement that had been done.

The entire package that was presented was something to be proud of.

And the young hockey players sure gave it their all. I certainly hope everyone tries to support this very worthwhile adventure.

Everything was very professional from start to finish. I wish you all the best. And I will be back.

Knights say thanks

The Rumford area Knights of Columbus wish to express their sincere thanks to those wonderful, caring and generous people from Rumford, Mexico, Dixfield and the surrounding area who made our annual Tootsie Roll Drive a great success.

As most people know, the money raised by this project is donated to the OCARC to help them continue their work in our community.

I am sure that the staff and all the people affiliated with the OCARC join us in thanking you.

Amazing support

On Sept. 27, a benefit dance was held to raise money for me to go to the Best New Talent Awards in Los Angeles. The support I received from the community was overwhelming.

For their contributions in making the night a huge success, I offer my sincere thanks to each and all who helped, and special thanks to area businesses for their contributions. Without the amazing support of these people and businesses, I never would have been able to raise the money needed to get to Los Angeles.

I’d also like to say thank you to all the people who came to the dance and those who wanted to come but couldn’t because it sold out. I hope to represent Lewiston-Auburn successfully and come home a winner.
