FARMINGTON – Catherine Crosbby scored in the first half and Kim Alexander scored in the second half as Bates beats UMaine-Farmington 2-0.

Crosby also had an assist in for the Bobcats. UMF’s goalie Patty Boutin stopped 10 shots in the lossing effort.

USM 4, Framingham State 0

GORHAM — Sophomore Jen Mason netted the decisive goal in the opening minutes of the first half, and the University of Southern Maine Huskies erupted for three second-half goals en route to a 4-0 shutout of the Framingham State College Rams in Little East Conference field hockey Wednesday afternoon at the Paula Hodgdon Field.

Triumphant in four consecutive outings, USM improved to 11-5 overall and 6-2 in the conference while Framingham State slipped to 5-6 and 3-5.

Bowdoin 6, UMF 0

BRUNSWICK – Bowdoin College wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as Collen Mcdonald scored on a pass from Marissa O’Neil for the first goal as the Polar Bears crushed the Beavers 6-0 in a field hockey game Wednesday.

Bowdoin got two goals from Colleen Mcdonald and Christi Gannon. The Beavers’ goalie Ashleigh Biette made seven saves.
