1919 – 2003
LEWISTON – Alexina Cecile Roy, 83, formerly of 287 Webber Ave., died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.
She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 21, 1919, the daughter of Israel and Roseanna Cloutier Charest. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Valerien Roy who predeceased her in 1989. Prior to her retirement in 1980 she was employed at Pepperell Manufacturing and in local shoe shops.
She was a member of Holy Cross Parish and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and selling her vegetables from her home vegetable stand.
She is survived by a sister, Pauline Pinette of Lewiston; two brothers, Roger Charest and his wife, Therese, of Lewiston and Arthur Charest of Auburn; two sisters-in-law, Henrietta Charest and Irene DePietro both of Lewiston; also nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Henriette Morin, Oct. 19, 2003; and a brother, Robert Charest Sr. April 13, 2003.
