BERLIN, N.H. – Derek William Puiia, 26, of 422 Church St., Berlin, N.H., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, at his home.
Mr. Puiia was born in Lewiston, Sept. 20, 1977, the son of Rocco and Helen (Nadeau) Puiia and has lived in Berlin, N.H., most of his life. He attended the Berlin schools and graduated from Job Corps in Vergennes, Vt. He was employed at Burger King in Gorham, N.H. He was a member of St. Kieran Church now known as the Good Shepherd Parish.
Members of the family include his parents, Helene and George Tardiff of Berlin, N.H., and Rocco Puiia of Rumford; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carmello Puiia of Rumford; his maternal grandmother, Monique Nadeau of Lewiston; his great-grandmother, Ruth Tardy of Dixfield; three sisters, Nina Villnave of Berlin, N.H., Leeann Puiia and Lisa Puiia of Rumford; three brothers, Daniel Tardiff, Bruce Tardiff and Craig Tardiff all of Berlin, N.H.; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and nine special nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by Pepere, William Nadeau.
