Dear Sun Spots: I lost the address to Papa Dash. Could you please put it in the paper again? – Sally Wentworth, Lisbon Falls.

Answer: As noted in the Sept. 9 column:

Although this item is discontinued, the company still makes it and sells it by the caseful (minimum) to customers requesting it. There are 12 bottles to a case and the check or money order covers the shipping and handling involved. You need to mail a check or money order for $24 made out to Alberto Culver, 2525 Armitage Ave., Melrose Park, IL 60160, marking it to the attention of consumer relations department.

In the meantime, you might like to try the following substitute found online at www.cooksrecipe.com:

Dear Sun Spots: I read Sun Spots every day and enjoy it. Now I need help.

I have to wear support therapy, firm toning knee highs. I used to buy them at Sears. Now the only one they have is extra firm, which I can’t wear. I would like to know if Sears in Brunswick or Portland carries them?

Is there someone who can transfer cassettes on CD in the Lewiston and Auburn vicinities?

I sure appreciate the work and information that you give. Thank you. – E.A., Lewiston.

Answer: Regarding your question on support knee highs, Sun Spots contacted Sears in South Portland, 828-9200, but was unable to talk with a live person. Hopefully you will have more success. In the meantime, Sun Spots checked with Sears at Cooks Corner, Brunswick, (207) 798-6051. They do carry firm toning, Nice Touch support therapy knee highs so it’s more than likely the South Portland store does also.

Regarding your question on transferring cassettes to CD, perhaps other readers familiar with this process know of someone.
