1931 – 2003

NEW GLOUCESTER – Dolores Rose Frisbie, 72, of Birchwood Acres in New Gloucester died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and many friends on Tuesday, Nov. 11, after a brave and dignified battle with a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on Sept. 21, 1931. She was the daughter of Eddie and Regina Croteau from Lewiston. She graduated from Bridgton High School class of 1950.

She had her own cleaning business in Massachusetts, worked for Avon, co-owned another cleaning business in Maine with very special friends, worked for Blueberry Farms doing stenciling and craft work, and also worked for Cole Haan Shoes in Yarmouth for many years until her retirement.

She raised and showed dogs and had a very strong love for animals especially horses, and passed that love for all animals to her children and grandchildren.

Surviving her are four children, James Martin and his wife Brenda, Sharon Kibler, and her husband Gary, Linda Simon and her husband Brian, David Frisbie and his girlfriend Heidi Ley; 10 grandchildren; a niece, Susie Morlock and her husband Paul, their two children; and nephew, Scott Croteau.

She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Sonny Croteau; and her parents, Eddie and Regina Croteau.
