1954 – 2003

AUBURN – Leroy George Bailey, 49, of Auburn, formerly of Livermore Falls, died on Nov. 25, at his home.

He was born on July 26, 1954, in Lewiston, the son of Laroy Bailey and Ella (Norris) Wilkins.

He attended Livermore Falls schools. He was employed by Livermore Shoe, Ducharme Construction, Prestressed Concrete Inc., and Wellness Wood Products. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and family. He traveled frequently to Rangeley for the enjoyment of the great outdoors, its peaceful scenery, moose watching, and other wilderness wildlife. He also enjoyed home movies, music, and his many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Grant) Bailey (formerly of Yarmouth); son, Michael Mitchell of Virginia; stepdaughter, Jessica; seven grandchildren; mother and stepfather, Ella and Thurlow Wilkins of Livermore Falls; sisters, Rosemary Blackmar of Hartford, Conn., Gail Hatch of East Livermore, Elaine Buckley of Leeds, Christine Mitchell of Kents Hill, Gloria (Pam) Diaz of East Livermore, Dorene Von Aecsh of Chesterville, and Glenda Amburg of North New Portland; brothers, Clifton Amburg of East Livermore and James Wilkins of Livermore Falls.

He was predeceased by brothers, Rodney, William, and Michael; sister, Darlene; and father, Laroy Bailey.
