1921 – 2003

AUGUSTA – Mary Margaret Marshall, 81, of Dresden Avenue, Gardiner, and formerly of 16 Summer St., Augusta, died Monday, Nov. 24, at MaineGeneral Medical Center after a long illness.

She was born in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, on Dec. 9, 1921, the daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth (O’Keefe) Brennan.

Mrs. Marshall was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church of Augusta. She graduated from Dorchester, Mass. High School in 1938.

Mrs. Marshall had been employed by White Cloud Laundry for over six years, but was a homemaker for most of her life.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Jackson of Augusta and Brenda Houdlette and her husband David of Brunswick; a brother, James Brennan of Holbrook, Mass.; two grandchildren, Kurt C. Jackson and Kimberly Kanter; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, George A. Marshall April 30, 1987; a brother, Thomas Brennan; and a sister, Bernadine Brennan.
