PORTLAND – Kenneth Tibbetts, 68, of South Paris, went to be with his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, Nov. 28, at Maine Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Rumford Center, the son of Fred and Louisa Cummings Tibbetts. He attended area schools and Glen Cove Bible School.

He served his country in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958.

He pastored the South Hope Community Church from 1963 to 1969, ministered at Paris Hill Bible Church and was a volunteer teacher’s aide at Wayside Christian School and West Sumner Christian School.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Dorothy Colby Tibbetts; four children and their spouses, Virginia and Philip Dubia, Jonathan and Karen Tibbetts, Mary and Ron Keach, and Rachel and Russell Harden; six grandchildren, Corey and Heather Dubia, Rebecca and Ryan Keach, and Corban and Anna Harden; two brothers, Fred Tibbetts of Standish, and Edward Tibbetts of North Carolina; one sister, Marjorie Westleigh of Albany; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four brothers; a sister; and four sisters-in-law.
