WAITE (AP) – Police are investigating an accident in the eastern Maine town of Waite that killed a 25-year-old man Tuesday morning.

Maine State Police said Jason Dobson of Burlington was killed after he was ejected from a pickup truck when it rolled over several times and caught fire on Route One at about 2:30 a.m. Dobson was a passenger.

Trooper David Barnard said the driver and another passenger were treated for minor injuries at Calais Regional Hospital. Barnard said police were investigating the driver’s claim that a moose had wandered onto the road.
