1921 – 2003

WATERVILLE – Helen E. Latham, 82, a resident of Clinton, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Maine General Hospital, Thayer Unit, following a long illness.

She was born in Oleman on Sept. 3, 1921, the daughter of Harry and Laura Clapp Walsh and attended the schools of Holland and Moscow.

She married Ralph “Tat” Latham in Waterbury, Conn. She and her husband made their home in Jay for 41 years. He passed away on May 9, 1974.

She worked at local shoe shops in North Jay, Farmington and Livermore Falls. She was a former member of the Rebecca’s and the Canton Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a son, Larry Latham of Canaan; a sister, Erma Lorette of Clinton; and four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Pete Walsh; and a sister, Lillian Bradbury.
