The public is being invited to a Christmas showcase of inns sponsored by the Western Maine Lodging Association from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14.
Visitors can see eight inns decorated for the holidays, tours rooms and suites, and sample refreshments.
Admission to the festive open houses will be $10 per person with proceeds benefiting the Bruce Roberts Toy Fund of Portland. This nonprofit organization distributes toys to needy children in a number of Maine counties. Visitors may start the tour at any one of the eight participating inns – Bear Mountain Inn, Waterford; Lake House Inn, Waterford; the Waterford Inne, Waterford; Greenwood Manor Inn, Harrison; The Noble House B&B Bridgton; The Oxford House Inn, Fryeburg; Lambs Mill Inn, Naples; and The Inn at Long Lake, Naples.
Tour guests will receive a coupon good for a 10 percent discount toward future lodging at any of the eight inns. Located in the western lakes and mountains region, the eight inns are less than an hour’s drive from the Lewiston/Auburn, Portland and Conway, N.H., areas.
