1913 – 2003
BRUNSWICK – Fred H. Colbath, 90, formerly of Poland died Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Mid Coast Hospital.
He was born at Poland Corner on May 31, 1913, the son of Frederick and Ada Wilson O’Dell. He lived most of his life in Poland and attended the Shaker school in New Gloucester.
He had been employed at Channel 8 for 10 years and then at Gould & Scammon. He enjoyed carpentry and gardening. He married the former Dorothy French on June 3, 1943. She passed away on March 6, 1985. He is survived by a daughter, Susan Colbath of Brunswick; a son, Bradley Colbath of Florida; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, James Colbath.
