1912 – 2003
AUBURN – Cedonia D. Cliche, 90, formerly of Sabattus, died Friday, Dec. 19, following a brief illness at the Clover Manor Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past year and a half.
Born in Lewiston on Dec. 21, 1912, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Emilie Beaucage Cliche. Educated in local schools, she was employed for 45 years as a stitcher in several Auburn shoe shops. Always very handy, she enjoyed all sorts of crafts, especially knitting and crochet. In her 80’s she took up painting, mostly watercolors, and proved very talented.
A member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, she is survived by a sister, Georgette V. Lavoie of Auburn, several nieces and nephews, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
