1958-2003

SOUTH PARIS – Michael A. (Moose) Cordwell, 45, of Penley Street, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 21, at his home after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Lewiston, March 23, 1958, the son of James and Arlene Plummer Cordwell, Sr. and he attended schools in the Oxford Hills area. He worked as a painter for Phil Smith for many years. He also worked for the late Jim Beakley revamping old movie theaters. He enjoyed watching his Sunday football and wheeling and dealing at his yard sales. He also traveled to Brimfield, Mass. for antique shows. He was a loving father, and kept the famliy together by having his family gatherings.

Survivors include: his wife Sheila Johnson Cordwell of South Paris; a daughter Michaelien (Mikki) Cordwell of South Paris; his mother of Otisfield; stepson, Christopher Severy of Wisconsin; brothers, James Cordwell of Norway, Stanley Cordwell of West Bethel, Mitchell Plummer of South Paris; sisters, Nancy Severy of Wisconsin, Jean Pulkkinen of Norway, Sally Haley of Florida and Connie Frankervith of California; a special niece, Billie Jo Severy, caregiver Angel Marie Broad, several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
