More than 35 volunteered to help throughout the holidays.

PERU – The Families in Crisis Task Force has been busy in Oxford County through November and December, helping people prepare for the holidays. The staff has been doing weekly food distributions, along with the yearly toy drive.

On Dec. 22 members delivered two truckloads of food and toys to the Canton VFW for the flood victims. The Good Shepherd Food Bank of Auburn helped gather the necessary food items needed for the Canton Christmas boxes and Pete Davenport of Peru made the deliveries.

A roast beef Christmas dinner was served on Dec. 22 to 98 people. On Dec. 6 the Families in Crisis Task Force held a successful Christmas fair, raising more than $300 to help provide for the needy.
