RUMFORD – The Ladies in Line dancers will resume weekly sessions from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the Rumford United Methodist Church.

Adult workshops

RUMFORD – The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will offer adults free workshops in college planning, financial aid, career decision making and study skills.

The program will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 9, at the University College at Rumford/Mexico.

Red hats

RUMFORD – The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine met at The Madison on Dec. 10 for their Christmas party.

Bill Green of WCSH-TV attended and interviewed several members for a segment of his “Bill Green’s Maine” next fall.

Hat pins were won by Virginia Buotte, Doris Swett and Mary Greaney.

The group will meet Jan. 29 at the Island Cafe.
