1913 – 2004

AUBURN – Adrienne D. Dumais, 90, formerly of 70 Blake St., Lewiston, died Friday, Jan. 2, at Clover Manor.

Born at St. Eleuthere, P.Q., Canada, Aug. 28, 1913, the daughter of Alphonse and Caroline St. Pierre Duval, she was educated in Canadian and Hartford, Conn. schools.

She was married to Maurice C. Dumais, who predeceased her May 4, 1976. She was the last survivor of 10 children. She was employed for four years at Pratt-Whitney in Hartford, Conn., and later at Bates Manufacturing Co. for 22 years.

She was a member of the Auburn Catholic community at Sacred Heart Parish, American Legion Post 22 Auxiliary, Lewiston Senior Citizens, Horizon 55 and SEARCH. She also performed volunteer work while a resident at Blake Street Towers and sang in the glee club as a young girl. Her family would like to thank Clover Manor and Beacon Hospice for their excellent care.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews, including Yvette Nadeau of Florida and Carmen Levesque of Auburn.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Regina Levesque, Anne Marie Michaud and Gabrielle Thibault; and six brothers, George, Eugene, Albert, Donat, Noel and Thomas Duval.
