1922 – 2003

FARMINGTON – Carolyn S. Dunmore, 81, of Livermore Falls, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Sandy River Center for Healthcare and Rehabilitation following a long illness.

Born in Bath, May 4, 1922, a daughter of Chester Adrian and Myrtie (Verrill) Soper, she received her education in local schools, graduating in 1940 from Livermore Falls High School.

She was employed at the First National Store in Livermore Falls and later in the office at James River.

She will be remembered for her many years of dedication to two organizations that she proudly served: the Charity Rebekah Lodge and the Rebekah Assembly of Maine. She held many offices in both organizations; most notably past president of the Rebekah Assembly of Maine and treasurer for well over 20 years of Charity Rebekah Lodge. She was also a former member of the OES and was an extremely active member, serving as secretary/treasurer of the Intervale Cemetery Assoc., Livermore.

Survivors include a son, Gregory Dunmore and his wife, Linda of Medway; nieces, Jane Chapman and her husband, David and Gail Fowlie and her husband, Ray and their families, all of Gardiner; nephews, Rusty Soper of Hyannis, Mass., Charles Bradbury of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Scott Soper of Indianapolis and their families.
