1950 – 2003
MONTREAL – Edward Ralph McIntosh, 53, of Durham, died suddenly Jan. 2, while on vacation with friends in Montreal, Quebec.
He was born in Lewiston July 29, 1950, the son of Ralph and Rena Gayton McIntosh. He was educated in Durham elementary schools and later graduated from Lisbon Falls High School. He also attended the University of Maine Farmington and received his master’s degree in psychology from the Southern Christian University in Alabama. He was currently working on completing his doctorate degree there.
“Ed” was owner and operator of the Family Intervention Counseling Service Incorporated in Lewiston, where he loved his work and those he worked with. Among his interests were playing the bagpipes, learning Scottish dance and learning Scottish heritage. He was recently named the head of the McIntosh Regional Clan. He will be sadly missed, but always remembered as a loving and devoted father, brother and friend.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Ly Delacruz of Seattle, Wash.; one son, Autie R.M. Delacruz of Portland; one brother, Kevin L. McIntosh of Durham; and one nephew, Derek Kevin Ralph McIntosh of Durham.
