1930 – 2003

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Theresa M. Isabel, 73, of Alachua, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the North Florida Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Isabel was born in Lewiston on March 20, 1930, the daughter of John and Eva Lachance Murray, and moved to Gainesville, Fla., in 1977. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter.

She was a member of the Plantation Oaks Golf Club and St. Madeleine’s Catholic Church in High Springs, Fla.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, R. Joseph Isabel of Alachua, Fla.; sons, Timothy Isabel of North Andover, Mass., Michael Isabel of Mount Vernon, Ind., Joseph Isabel of Brandon, Fla., Theodore Isabel of Newburyport, Mass., and Christopher Isabel of Valrico, Fla.; daughter, Karen Reynolds of Pittsfield, Mass.; brothers, Joseph Murray of Lewiston, Michael Murray of Titusville, Fla., and Daniel Murray of Claremont, N.H.; sisters, Eva LaDouceur of Lewiston, Jacqueline Young of Lewiston, Idaho, and Carol Christiansen of Ware, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, and one sister, Patricia Picard in 1991; and a brother, John Murray in 1937.
