LEEDS – Connie Shaw, Leeds postmaster, held a ceremony recently to honor Audrey Buckley.

Buckley, a Leeds resident, has served in the position of postmaster relief at the Leeds Post Office for more than 18 years. In her capacity as postmaster relief, Buckley is in charge of the Leeds Post Office in the postmaster’s absence.

“This month marks your 18th year of service in the position of postmaster relief at the Leeds Post Office,” Shaw said in recognizing Buckley. “We sincerely appreciate the many years of service that you have given to the community of Leeds and to the customers who visit our office from surrounding towns. Thank you for your continuing contributions and congratulations on 18 years of exemplary service.”

Buckley was honored among her fellow employees at the post office. Her husband, Dwight, and her mother, Shirley Wing, a Leeds resident, were also in attendance. In addition to a certificate of appreciation, Shaw presented Buckley with a $25 gift certificate to Quilts from Home and served refreshments in honor of the occasion.
