1933 – 2004

LEWISTON – Lois E. Bourgoin, 70, of Lisbon Road in Lisbon, died Saturday morning, Jan. 10, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Richmond July 29, 1933, the daughter of Charles and Merilna Sidelinger Pushard. She was educated in Richmond schools and graduated from Richmond High School in 1952.

On Sept. 17, 1960, she married Robert Bourgoin. He died May 31, 2001.

She worked for a number of years at Freeport Shoe, and later worked as an apple packer at West Breeze Orchards in Auburn.

She was a member of the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church, and was also a member of the Rebeka’s.

She was and avid Boston Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed knitting, fishing, watching her soap operas, and visiting with friends for coffee at the Lisbon Falls McDonald’s.

Her greatest pleasure in life, however, was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed but always remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She is survived by one daughter, Louise Caton of Lisbon; three sons, James and his wife Rena of Litchfield, John and his wife Diane of Lisbon, and William and his wife Penny of Bowdoin; nine grandchildren, Arthur, J.J., Kimberly, Nick, Ben, Kayla, Jennifer, Kelly, and Robert; one great-grandson, Trevor Bourgoin; two sisters, Louise Snow of Pitston, and Carolyn Thurlow of Richmond; and one brother, Patrick “Ricky” Coughlin of Richmond.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Linwood Pushard, and Edward and Carroll Coughlin.
