AUBURN – A New Auburn Post 153, American Legion, Auxiliary member was honored for her outstanding job of working with Cub Scout Pack 153, sponsored by the post.

National Commander John A. Brieden presented Abenaki Unit Commissioner Edith Lemieux a certificate of appreciation for the outstanding job she has done for the Scouts.

Lemieux also serves the Department of Maine as Americanism officer and visits area schools and other groups to discuss “Our Flag.” She is also Second District alternate president.

Lemieux has served as past Androscoggin County president for two years and is a past president of Post 153. She is part of an American Legion family – her husband, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, son-in-law, daughter in-law and brother all belong to the Legion.
