1913 – 2004

AUBURN – Yvonne V. Jalbert, 90, of 550 College St., Lewiston, died Friday morning, Jan. 16, at Clover Manor Health Care Facility following a short illness.

She was born in Pemaquid, on March 12, 1913, the daughter of Fossett and Susie (Ervine) Sproul and had been a resident of this community for over 38 years.

She graduated from Bristol High School in Pemaquid with the class of 1930. She then graduated from Gorham Normal School from Gorham with the class of 1932.

She was employed for 38 years by the Employment Security Bureau, Job Service Division. She retired from this employment on April 30, 1974, as an Employment Counselor III.

She was a member of the Maine State Employees Association, Retirement Chapter, Androscoggin Division.

Mrs. Jalbert enjoyed crocheting and needle point work.

She will be missed by her family and friends.

She was the widow of Louis Jalbert whom she married on July 30, 1938 and who died on March 14, 1989.

She is survived by one brother, Ervine Sproul and his wife Lila of New Castle; her special friend, Alice Lufkin of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one brother, John A. Sproul; and two sisters, Avilda Lewis and Eleanor M. Sproul.
