1912 – 2004

NORWAY – Eva M. Perry, 91, of Bethel, died Jan. 18, at the Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was born on a farm in Newry on July 15, 1912, the daughter of Robert Wesley Enman and Paulina Geneva Enman.

She attended schools in Rumford and lived there 10 years before relocating to South Portland and Prouts Neck in Scarborough, where she had employment and met her husband, Joseph Irvin Perry.

They were married in South Portland in 1938, and he died in 1988.

She was a long time employee of Gould Academy in Bethel. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Eleanor Gordon Guild, Bethel Library, Bethel Historical Society, Bethel Senior Citizens and Edna York’s Bible Study.

She liked to do towle painting and refinish antique furniture.

She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Feagin and her husband William of Hendersonville, N.C.; a sister, Edith Irene Rowe of Norway; a grandson, Jonathan J. Perry of Burlington, Conn.; a daughter-in-law, Barbara T. Hladik of Bristol, Conn.; two granddaughters, Kristina Marie Perry and Katelynn Perry of Burlington, Conn.; a nephew, Joseph Wesley Enman and his wife Roxanne Enman of Lisbon Falls; and many other nieces and nephews who were kindly regarded.

She was predeceased by one son, Wayne Robert Perry, who died in Hartford, Conn., in 1971; a sister, Elsie Davis of Bethel; and five brothers, Lester, Leon, Earl, Everett and Herbert Enman.
