For an increasing number of people in their 20s and 30s, home is where the parents are. That’s because traditional markers of adulthood, including marrying, graduating from college and moving out of the family home, are occurring later than they did a generation ago. The Sun Journal would like to talk to grown-up children and parents about the challenges, and joys, of such a living arrangement. If you know of any adult children and parents living under the same roof, please send a note to ualbert@sunjournal.com or Ursula Albert, Sun Journal, 104 Park St., Lewiston 04240, by Friday, Jan. 30.
Cook of the Week
The Sun Journal will soon begin a regular weekly series called the “Cook of the Week.” Featured will be ordinary folks in the tri-county area who make extraordinary recipes for friends and family. We’ll introduce the “cook” and offer several favorite recipes. Variety will be our specialty- items to cook up in a pinch, healthy soups and dishes, decadent desserts. Do you know a cook we could feature – someone in your neighborhood or your child’s school, a fellow parishioner, a spouse, a co-worker or a parent, perhaps? If so, please e-mail the person’s name and phone number (not for publication) or where they may be reached to ualbert@sunjournal.com; or send a note to Ursula Albert, Cook of the Week, Sun Journal, 104 Park St., Lewiston 04240.
