The Oxford County Democratic Committee announced meetings focusing on candidates seeking nomination U.S. president.

Supporters of U.S. Sen. John Kerry will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, and Friday, Feb. 6, at Mike and Eileen Broderick’s home, 77 Sunday River Road, just off Route 2, in Bethel. A video and campaign materials will be available. Those supporting Kerry, and those who are undecided are welcome to attend.

Supporters of Congressman Dennis Kucinich will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, for a pre-caucus party at Fare Share Common, Main Street, in Norway. Supporters of former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Fare Share Common. Hilary Ware is the contact.

County Democrats will hold a pre-caucus pizza party with Mike Michaud from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Mexico Town Hall.

The time and locations of the 36 caucus meetings Sunday, Feb. 8, are posted on the Maine Democratic Party Web site, www.mainedems.org, and will be advertised prior to the caucus. Absentee ballots are available from the Maine Democratic Party by calling 622-6233.
