1935 – 2004
FARMINGTON – Claude A. Cox, 68, of Canton, died Jan. 29, at Franklin Memorial Hospital. He had resided in Canton most of his life.
He was born in Dixfield, Feb. 18, 1935, the son of Warren and Rozena Cox. He was a 1958 graduate of Canton High School.
He was married to Aurie B. Chandler in Wilton on March 5, 1955. They have resided in Canton for 49 years.
He enjoyed carpentry (his profession for State of Maine DOT), country music, cooking, antique cars, watching sports and most of all spending time with family and friends, whom he cherished and loved very much.
He is survived by his beloved wife; and two sons, Michael and his wife, Marcia of Skowhegan and Stephen and his beloved companion and friend, Iris Hall of New York; sister, Maxine Palmer of Dixfield; brother-in-law, Frank Campbell of Canton; grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Gregory, Madeline and Ian; great-granddaughter, Aaliyah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Rodrick and Emery; and a beloved sister, Gwendolyn Campbell all of Canton.
