1914-2004

AUBURN – Dorothy Ivy Dyer Jordan, 89, of 41 Pleasant St., died Friday, Jan. 30, at the Auburn Home for Aged Women after a brief illness.

She was born in Lewiston, May 23, 1914, the daughter of Elbridge and Frances L. Ridley Dyer. She was educated in Lewiston schools graduating from Jordan High School. She married Lawrence Victor Jordan who died in 1946 and was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Lewiston.

She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Victor Jordan and wife, Marilyn, of Orlando, Fla., Conrad Raymond Jordan of Auburn, James Ellsworth Jordan of San Francisco, Ca., Patricia Ann Jumper and husband, Donald W., of Lewiston and Ronald Francis Jordan of Flagler, Fla.; a nephew, Fred Kelley of Sabattus and five other nieces and nephews; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Auburn Home for Aged Women, where Mrs. Jordan resided for several years, for their loving and special care. All our family and friends will miss her and the wonderful sense of humor that she maintained throughout her life.
