1925-2004

PORTLAND – Marnie S. MacClure, 78, of Livermore, died early Sunday, Feb. 1, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born in Massachusetts, June 18, 1925, a daughter of Thomas K. and Helen M. (Sewall) LaZure. She was raised in Maine and returned to Boston as a young woman where she was married and raised two children.

Mrs. MacClure returned to Maine in her retirement from Massachusetts and with her second husband, Russell B. MacClure ran the Lakeshore Motel in Livermore for several years and started, C.E.S., the local ambulance service.

Mrs. MacClure loved the Lakeside Motel, Long Pond, its residents and all the nature that came with living on the water. She also enjoyed travelling including cruises, trips to the White Mountains and ocean.

She is survived by: a son Steve Brennan and his wife, Gwen, of Newton, Mass.; a daughter, Cindy Brennan of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister Suzanne Washburn of Belmont, Mass.; four grandchildren, Marnie Thorn of Provo, Utah, Lisa Rooney of Hinsdale, N.H., Jeff Shea of Millis, Mass., and Jessica Dintino of Keene, N.H.
