LEWISTON – Holy Cross Senior Citizens will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, to hear a guest speaker at the church.

Will Paradis will address “Witness for Christ.” Paradis has been ministering to prison inmates for 20 years.

Refreshments will be served.

Patriotic program

AUBURN – Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 50 Elm St. A patriotic program will be presented in observance of Presidents Day. All members are asked to participate.

A cake walk will take place to support the Educational Foundation fund. February has been designated Educational Foundation Month by the Sovereign Grand Lodge and International Association of Rebekah Assemblies.

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows Educational Loan Foundation was organized in 1927. Deserving students are helped to further their education with low-cost loans and scholarships.

Elderhostel tour

AUBURN – Join Professor Roy L. Farnsworth, Bates College professor of geology emeritus and Elderhostel ambassador, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Auburn Public Library for an armchair tour of Elderhostel destinations here and abroad.

Farnsworth will talk about destinations that stretch vacation dollars and maximize travel experience the Elderhostel way. Learn more about Elderhostel, a nonprofit organization that offers trips at affordable prices. For more information, call the library at 782-3191.

The program is part of the Cabin Fever Travelogue series sponsored by the Book Burrow.
